Canyon, Campfires, & Cold Beers: B+D’s Roadtripper Elopement in Colorado & Utah
Brittany and David weren’t after a one-day thing. They wanted a full-on wedding week in the wild—so we kicked off their Honeylope in the best spot I know: deep in the Colorado mountains.
Day One: Wetsuits + Whitewater Walls
We started this party rappelling through whitewater canyons—yep, full send on day one. Neither of them had canyoneered before, but they were down for anything—soaked, stoked, and grinning ear to ear by the end.
Day Two: Camp Vibes + Big Mountain Views + Tacos
They got ready at camp—suit on and dress zipped up right outside the Airstream, surrounded by pines and crisp alpine air. Then we rallied the Jeeps and climbed to the top of one of my favorite mountain passes.
With mountains in every direction and her veil flying in the wind, they said their vows while our friend played guitar and their friend officiated. We 4x4’d back down and lit up the campfire for a taco dinner under the stars.
Day Three: Via Ferrata + Legal AF
We hit a via ferrata route and they signed their marriage license at the summit—We cracked beers and celebrated with sunset mountain views in every direction.
Day Four: Moab Magic + Mega Rappel
We rolled into the desert and kicked things up a notch. They changed back into their wedding clothes and free-hung off a mega arch rappel like total badasses.
She was low-key shitting her pants, he was loving every second (and she was too—once her feet hit solid ground).
She said she’s been telling everybody about it ever since… even her mailman😂 (#Type2fun).
Day 5: Final Sunris & Red Rock Sendoff
To wrap up the week, we off-roaded to a killer cliffside vista near camp for one last golden-hour session in the desert. Boots dusty, hearts full, and totally funkin’ married.
Why It Worked:
Because they went all in. No stiff timelines, just two love birds down for anything and up for a real mountain + desert adventure.
D+B booked the 5-Day Roadtripper's Package in Telluride & Moab + two additional adventures baked in.
